Cllr Alan Waters, deputy leader of Norwich City Council, Labour councillor for Crome ward, cabinet member for resources. As a full-time occupation, Alan also works for the Local Government Information Unit based in London. He is an active campaigner for the Living Wage, which is particularly relevant to artists and the payment of people working in the arts.
He will be talking about Living Wage week which will be taking place across the country in the first week of November and there will be events in Norwich.

This report – “Creative Industries: Focus on Employment” has just been published by DCMS and provides estimates of the direct economic contribution of the Creative Industries in the UK. It focuses on employment and might provide us with some data for benchmarking our contribution, either collectively or individually.
