First was the new exhibition at The Gallery at NUCA from Tuesday 18th September until 13th October 2012 by Michael Craig-Martin: Alphabet
It's a Hayward Touring exhibition from Southbank Centre, London, featuring 26 screen prints in which letters of the alphabet are overlaid with everyday objects such as a book, a glass of water or an umbrella. But not A for Apple or anything obvious like that - the artist keeps you guessing. As a graphic designer myself, I liked the strong flat colours and simple lines. Here's a link to an Guardian article about him. Open Tue-Sat 12noon –5pm Closed Sunday and Monday

Then I went up to the Forum for the launch of Norwich Sound and Vision in The Curve, passing the opening of an exhibition by Wymondham College students which is on for a few days in the main atrium. Norwich Sound and Vision is in its third year and has grown hugely over that time, This year it incorporates the John Peel Festival of New Music as well as a 4 day music and film industry conference and a music festival of gigs around the city.
